Guitar Hero has been well known for its great guitar simulating games for top consoles but things are about to change. Introducing Rock Band. Rock Band developers looked at Guitar Hero and thought, why just guitars? Now Rock Band have thrown in the full works. Mic? Drums? Guitar? they really do have it all.
Now Developers of guitar hero have announced more peripherals in up coming guitar hero games. Guitar Hero have even said the game will be available on the Nintendo DS, your probably thinking how will they play it? Well I can tell you it has been said that the game will not be played with a touch screen It will be played with a new peripheral which is now being developed. Don't you think Guitar Hero on the DS is a bit far?

On paper Rock Band looks great, I mean why buy a guitar game when you have the full works elsewhere right? Well the reason that might put so many people off rock band is as follows. Please remain seated for this part, the cost of rock band is around £170. I assure you this is no joke. But who would pay £170 for one game? The price seems insane, why not take your money and buy a new console? The Nintendo Wii retails for around the same price after all.
Who will win this battle is not an easy answer. I think rock band has made guitar hero open their eyes to see so much more that can be done with a music game. However at a whopping £170 Rock Band may drop dead in its tracks.
